The
new 2016 Hyundai Sonata has been upgraded with security and technology features
taking the forefront. With the new overall design improvements, the Sonata is
now the perfect car for anyone looking for a safe and easy drive.
Top-of-the-line Security Features
With
the safety of every individual within the car in mind, Sonata offers 10
different driver-assist features to help with navigating unpredictable
situations that may occur on the road. The three most outstanding of these
being Automatic Emergency Braking, Driver’s Knee Airbag and Blue Link Connected
Care.
Handy
during situations where events on the road unfold unexpectedly or if the driver
is unable to react in time, the Automatic Emergency Braking is able to bring
the car to a complete stop when it’s running at up to 50 mph. By cutting the
power to the engine, the Sonata offers the fail-safe of stopping when the
driver can’t.
Ordinary
airbags are meant to keep the driver’s torso and head areas protected. However,
little thought – if any – is given to the driver’s legs. The Sonata’s Driver’s
Knee Airbag feature helps keep the lower half of the driver’s body protected.
Though this feature appears simplistic in nature, its implications are massive.
With this simple addition, the engineers at Hyundai have given the driver an
extra few minutes to maneuver the vehicle out of harm’s way in the event of an
accident or a sudden shift in weather.
When
an airbag in the car is deployed, the Blue Link Connected Care comes into play
by notifying the nearest response centre to the driver’s location.
Additionally, this system also notifies the driver with monthly reports on the
vehicle’s performance and alerts him or her when maintenance and servicing work
becomes necessary.
Technology
With
the first car of its class to have Android Auto, the Sonata links Android
compatible phones with the car to allow for truly safe mobile usage on-the-go.
With voice activated commands, the driver will be able to easily control the
necessary applications on their phone. The development of the proximity key
eliminates any last second desperate digging locate keys in order to unlock the
door. Able to read the car when it’s three-feet away or less, the proximity key
is able to unlock both the doors and the trunk when it’s around the vehicle for
more than three seconds. The Sonata also comes equipped with the usual cameras
to make parking and lane changes easier.
With
great security and technology features encased in an appealing exterior, the
Sonata promises a hassle-free drive with security features that go above and
beyond in protecting both driver and passenger. Visit the Hyundai Dealer near
