The 2016 Hyundai Elantra is
better than ever before. There are three versions available: the sport version
comes with leather seating minus the sunroof, the Value Edition provides more
fuel efficiency and the Limited version comes with dual automatic temperature
control and proximity key. The 5-door hatchback version, on the other hand,
comes with the new front-end styling and a bit more features.
Driver Selectable Steering Mode
One of the favorite features of
the 2016 Hyundai Elantra is the Driver Selectable Steering Mode, which allows
three different settings for feedback. The Sport mode quickens the response
while the Comfort mode requires less input for turns. The system comes as
standard on the SE, GT and Limited versions.
Engine Performance and Fuel Efficiency
There are a couple of engine
options the Elantra offers. First off, the SE and Limited versions are equipped
with a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 145 horsepower, 130 lb-ft of
torque and provides 27 mpg fuel efficiency for city roads and 37 mpg for highway
roads.
On the other hand, the Sport
version and the Hatchback are equipped with a 2.0 liter inline-4 engine that
produces 173 horsepower, 154 lb-ft of torque and 24 mpg on city roads and 34
mpg on the highway.
